The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.
Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bentham. This character can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions who will portray the group to life, featuring head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a important part of the group, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With the second season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
