Wilfried Nancy insisted he had no concerns about losing his job, claiming, “I believe we are extremely close to changing our fortunes,” despite moving dangerously close to the chopping block with a convincing defeat by Rangers.

“The standard we had at times was exceptionally high. That happened. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was untrue. But that’s why, when it comes to wins, I noted this is the same story. Which is why I feel we are really close to a shift in fortunes. But for the moment: details, details, details.”

“We produced plenty of positives that we did, like today again. But now comes down to performing for 90 minutes. My message would be different the same. That’s why I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”

The Rangers Boss Outlook

The victorious boss played down talk of a serious challenge even after what felt like a statement victory. “We take it game by game, and we can really build up momentum,” he said. “The faith in the team is outstanding.”
